Welcome to Virginia Wine Tastings!
My name is Kelly Gibson and my goal is to provide a relaxed and fun way to learn about wine. I help simplify the process of buying wine, by making it less intimidating and a lot more fun through in-home Wine Tastings. I exclude all of the daunting wine talk and create a fun, informal, educational Wine Tasting experience. And by sampling the wines first, you only purchase the wines that you know you like.
From Hobby to Profession:
Wine tasting has been a hobby of mine for years. Back in 2009, a friend introduced me to a company that provided in-home wine tastings featuring California wines. I signed up as a consultant and really enjoyed the experience. However, most of the events I attended turned into discussions about Virginia wines. I started thinking to myself, I love the concept of trying out new wines at home with friends, but why not do this for Virginia wines. I mean I live in the heart of Virginia wine country after all! And from that thought Virginia Wine Tastings was born!

- OUR WINES - I am dedicated to introducing Loudoun County and the surrounding Northern Virginia region to the exciting wines produced right here in Virginia!

- EDUCATIONAL - I will teach you the "4 S's" of wine tastings and go over the basic terminology. I will also provide you with food pairing suggestions, as well as tips on storing and handling your wine.
